Why yoga in the workplace?
Yoga in the workplace is valuable to both the employees and the employer because it provides a platform where positive changes can take place that benefit both parties. Everyday we are bombarded with media about the economic downturn, massive workforce layoffs, the dissapearance of savings and 401ks and the mortgage bubble. This environment of uncertainty affects employee morale, employee health and ultimately employee performance. Corporate yoga can directly help to change this environment by teaching employees specific breaths, mindful movements and grounding meditation exercises that they can apply throughout their workday. But In this time of economic downturn, is it a good idea to spend funds on yoga in the workplace?
The answer is yes, more than ever before. Our environment today has placed emphasis on much of our success depending on material wealth including higher salaries, bigger savings accounts and larger homes among other things. The reality is that life for many people in terms of feeling secure is changing quickly. Given the circumstances, employees will find value in a yoga practice that acts as a tool to help them deal with the present situation with as much joy, health and equanimity as possible. Providing employees with a 50-minute yoga practice customized for their special needs and in their place of work can only bring a positive outcome for a relatively low cost to the employer and/or the employee.
Organizations can choose different hosting options:
1. Full subsidy by the employer.
2. Partial subsidy by the employer. Employee and employer share the cost of the class.
3. Employer provides dedicated yoga space only and employees pay for classes directly. *please contact us about minimums for this arrangement.
A great way for mothers to be to get a relaxing yoga practice where they will connect with their bodies and their babies. Prenatal yoga helps relieve symptoms of fatigue, back pain and stress among other things. Please read the prenatal yoga page under our yoga services for a more detailed description of this class. Prenatal corporate yoga classes are 50-minutes.
A refreshing and de-stressing alternative class that employees can practice from their personal area of work. Employees will stretch, de-stress and learn to relieve lower back pain. We will teach useful movements and breaths that can be used anytime of day without leaving the work area. A great 20-minute investment!
Our corporate yoga series are 8 weeks to 12 weeks long.

Why practice in the office rather than in a studio?
For the reasons we have discussed, yoga in the office can be of great value to both the employee and the employer. Times call for yoga in the office more than ever before. For practical purposes, yoga in the workplace eliminates travel time outside of the office and does not cut into productivity time.
Do our employees need to have yoga experience to participate?
No. The corporate yoga classes accommodate all levels and all employees are welcomed.
Will people need to shower after yoga classes?
No. The style of yoga keeps in mind that employees are at work and have a limited time available before they have to return to their offices.
We do not have space in our workplace but we would like to participate anyways?
No problem. We have space available in Boston that can accommodate small to medium sized groups if they would like to go off-site.
Do you offer other complementary services?
Yes, we can incorporate a Yoga Trance Dance module for corporate retreats or for an hour in the afternoon.
